DAY 3: fair krest

"The rhythm of the "Blue Danube" waltz rippled and rang and sang in his head, the lights of a thousand chandeliers glinted and prismed, and for a heartbeat Shadow was a child again, and all it took to make him happy was a ride to ride the carousel"

Day 4: Fair by Becca

Fairly Traded Goods: It appalls me to consider how people around the world are not compensated fairly for their goods and hard work...

Day 4: Fair by Kate

The sun goes down, and with him takes
The coarseness of my poor attire;
The fair moon mounts, and aye the flame
Of Gypsy beauty blazes higher.
-Raph Waldo Emerson

Day 4: Fair by Taylor

While the picture doesn't show it, as we were waiting for the rest of camp to arrive, I organized a staff vs camper kickball game. 44 campers vs 7 staff. Surprisingly, it ended up being pretty fair, despite what you would think. the beauty of the staff vs camper kickball game is that you always end up taking out a camper or two on accident because they are not paying attention and all of a sudden - WHAM!!! kickball to the head and on the ground they go. Once we round the bases though, we alway check to make sure they are ok.

It was only fair to let her squirt me back after I got her good. Plus she has one of the fairest skin tones in the world. She's almost transparent.

Day 4: Fair by H

I worked here one summer. In a maze made of foam and cloth, dressed up like a monster and scaring the bejesus out of people. If it was quiet all the monsters would gather up one end and chat and joke with each other until the next group came in, and then we would scatter without a word to take up our positions in the maze. I got paid to do this. That was more than fair.

Day 4: Fair by J.

I didn't realize how many definitions "fair" has. I went with the weathery one.

Fair
a. (of the sky) bright; sunny; cloudless to half cloudy.

Larger version.

Day 4: Fair by Missy

fair

growing up, my brother and i could never seem to agree on the same thing when given choices by my parents... so inevitably the penny would come out to be flipped to see who would get their way. NOW, i'm no dummy... i understood probability and that technically it was/is the only FAIR way, but i never saw it fair, since i NEVER won the coin toss... it ended up being a family joke that i never won... lotsa laughing over my unlucky-ness...
&!!??? i still NEVER win!!?!?!
(sigh)
my thoughts on 'fair'...

Day 4: Fair by Suzanne

Fair for me will always mean fair haired, and with that in mind: gratuitous self portrait.

I missed yesterday - had a genius idea (a panting dog! ha!) but aforementioned dog was uncooperative. The red focusing light freaked her out and she hid. My dog is a sook.

Day 4: Fair by Luke

This was a really daunting one for me and I've thought about it a lot the last 24 hours. Obviously it's a word that can be interpreted a number of ways, and none of them are particularly easy to shoot. My immediate association was fun fair, but at home tonight in my house of junk, I don't exactly have one of those to capture.

So instead I started to think about the essence of a fun fair. What does it feel like? Can I attempt to capture that?

Arrgh... I hate how this upload thing adds grain and compresses it all up.
