Day 70: Sauce by J.

This is Elle all of the time. More food on her face than in her mouth. Today it was barbecue sauce. (it was really good barbecue sauce too)

I am expecting a smack from my Mother-In-Law for this one. I call this sauce. She would say gravy. Either way, I still love you Mom!

Day 69: Weather by J.

Super late with this one. Minor internet issues led to me boycotting my computers for the past day and a half.

Anyway, the weather was pretty freaky this morning. We were out at yard sales and it was dark enough that it felt like it was night time. It was hot and cold, kind of raining, and just overall really weird. It doesn't come across as well on the photo, but just to the bottom right of the pole is a really white cloud in the middle of a really dark area. It stood out a lot in person and looked really unnatural.

Day 69: Weather by Becca

We lucked out with the weather while visiting Seattle, WA. Though it has been rainy and cloudy in New England...the western part of the country has been sunny the whole time we have been here (who said the Pacific Northwest is rainy!? At least not this week!)

It was a beautiful day in Midgar...little did Shinra know.

Day 69: Weather by Missy

weather

i love 'weather'... i check the weather on my computer, phone, and tv constantly... i know all the meteorologists' names on the weather channel and know all the weather channel muzak, which i have written words for... (good stuff.)
today the weather was great... it rained on me this morning while i was out for my powerwalk, it was breezy and warm this afternoon, and the evening was clear, quiet and colorful...

The weather right now is weird. It's a little windy, but not enough to make an impact.
It's extremely sunny, so it feels hot outside. It doesn't quite feel like fall, but there are leaves on the ground. And some of the plants are confused.

Day 68: Annoying by Becca

So, Mike and I are currently on our honeymoon. It has all been very exciting, but of course we have come to find out that some things will never change. Though we have been together for over 6 years and now that we are now married we know two and a half things will always be true. We find each other very annoying when 1. We are hungry 2. We are driving to an unfamiliar place and C. We are hungry and driving to an unfamiliar place! That was the case in driving 7 hours from southern Oregon to Seattle, WA today. Plus, Mike had awesome bedhead (a few days late).

Day 68: Annoying by J.

i grab a bowl & the milk....
i open the box only to find that, not only is there not enough for me to have a bowl, but it's stale....... lemme try another box......... & another......... all the same!!?!
grrr.
so annoying.

Day 68: Annoying by CC

annoying
Our old neighbor collected wind chimes. One can be o.k., but many are annoying. Sorry for those of you that love wind chimes, but they can be extremely annoying especially early in the morning or late in the evening.

Day 68: Annoying, by Jasmine

"Most of your ideas are far too ambitious, fantastical, complicated, or just plain weird to be picture books or easy readers." Yeah? Well, you're annoying.

Day 67: Games, by Jasmine

I didn't bring my shmancy camera to the Phillies game yesterday, so I settled for taking this shot when I got home. I tied the "rally towel" around my neck because I was terrible at swinging it around in circles. It's tougher than it looks, man!

Day 67: Games by J.

For the past year or so, I've been spending my free time developing board/card games (see Championland) It's really fun and challenging, and can also be a little nerve-wracking.

Here are some notes, temporary boards, card ideas for a few of the games I'm working on. I counted 16 games in progress the other day, and I know of a few more since then.

I think the real game for me is to see how many games I can try to work on at one time.

My whole life has been games, games, games lately.  This game here sums up my love for board games and video games.

Day 67: Games by Missy

games

i love to play games of the video & of the board kind...
& even though i don't consider myself competitive, i LOVE to win.
chinese checkers is one of those games i need to keep playing until i DO win...
usually one game is all it takes,
since i rule supreme.........

Day 66: Claw by Becca

So there is a piece of climbing equipment called lobster claws...this is close but only has one carabiner. But it still looks like a claw!

Day 66: Claw by Taylor

HOLY SHIT THERES A BEAR AND ITS COMING RIGHT FOR US!!!! GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!! RUN BEFORE HE CLAWS YOU!!

Here's me failing at taking a closeup shot of one of the cat's claw shavings.

Having a claw hand is not as cool as I thought it would be. In fact, it just plain stinks.

Day 65: Bedhead by Taylor

Both Becca and I have been out of it for the past few weeks, more so the last five days or so, what with the wedding this past weekend. But, now that it is over, we both should be able to get back in the saddle and start taking photos and posting again more regularly.

And with that, using my newly acquired wife as a model, I present to you bedhead. Unfortunately she started fixing it before I got a chance to take the shot, so it looks better than it usually does, but she does have a decent bedface.

If you are interested in seeing wedding photos, they have been showing up the last few days on facebook, and if you are friends with either Becca or myself, you should be able to check out most of them (not all have been tagged just yet). If you would like to and you are not friends with me, then why are you not? friend me here (maybe)

Day 65: Bedhead by J.

Had a picture yesterday, but it wasn't that good. Then the internet stopped working. My first thought was "how will Elle watch her Mickey cartoons in the morning?"

Every morning Elle asks me to play old 1930's Mickey Mouse videos on youtube. There are a bunch of playlists that pretty much go forever, and Elle will watch them for hours. As long as she has milk, her blanket and old school Mickey Mouse, she's happy.

Luckily the internet came back. But it took long enough to give me time to take a better bedhead photo. This is me watching "Society Dog Show", through Elle's ridiculous morning mop.

Day 65: Bedhead, by Jasmine

Honestly, dudes, every time you see me I have bedhead. I only brush my hair before washing it, which is about once a week. I'm a hippy, obviously.

Day 65: Bedhead by Missy

bedhead1

we embrace bedhead in this house...
bedhead is like waking up with a crown of magnificence or a halo of honor upon your head...
it's like receiving a gift from hypnos, the god of sleep...
bedhead is meant to be worn with dignity, splendor and delight...

I get bedhead so bad that my head hurts! Ask anyone who knows me I deal with my hair by keeping my hair pulled back in one of those half ponytail/half bun things.

Day 64: Time by J.

Tonight was Carolyn's Grandmother's birthday. Years aren't as long as they used to be. I swear.

Day 64: Time by CC

I swear that time goes by so fast. I can't believe it has been a year since Elle has worn her little pink trainers. Now she has these giant feet!

Day 64: Time by Missy

time

the girls and i traveled all the way to longwood gardens just for this shot...
this is part of an analemmatic sundial, which was finished in 1939, after 8 long years of construction in order to accurately record the position of the sun and shadow cast by the 'gnomon'... the staff adjust the gnomon daily to match up with day and month markings on the analemma, which is two figure 8 curves for both the a.m. and the p.m.... the shadow line cast corresponds with large bronze roman numerals surrounding the sundial representing the hour... there are even minute markings between the numerals... it is extremely accurate.
i wish i could've gotten way high to show how the whole thing works, but it's just too grand.

Day 64: Time, by Jasmine

I am obsessed with clocks and time. I want huge clocks all over my dream house, telling me what time it is all around the world.

P.S. I suck, you guys! I couldn't find my chord to upload any pictures this past week. I'm convinced one of the cats took it because I found it sticking out from under the couch. I'm sure I didn't put it there.

Day 63: Zombie, by Jasmine

Oddly enough, I've begun the process of writing a screenplay about a girl who dies and comes back as a not-so-stupid-and-scary zombie. I've been listening to lots of girl groups of the '60s as inspiration.

Day 63: Zombie by J.

Larger version.

My brother George mentioned that there was a Zombie Walk in Asbury Park today. We had nothing at all to do, and it just happened to be the photo theme, so we took the almost 2 hour drive and shot hundreds of photos. It was pretty crazy. There were 1500 people dressed as zombies wandering the boardwalk and the main streets.

I had the hardest time picking a photo to display, so here are a few more:

J. took us to the New Jersey Zombie Walk today. He was very brave getting up in the middle of all the zombies!!! I was scared of the them. I mean come on, wouldn't you be?!?!

Day 63: Zombie by Missy

zombie

this is ethan jeffrey, my 4 year old nephew... i told him all about the photo blog and today's theme. naturally he didn't know what a zombie was but was very excited to help me get the shot... the makeup, the grunts & groans, and with gummy worms to simulate some brain-like matter, he pulled off the character with ease and even went a bit 'daniel day-lewis' on us by refusing to break character long after the shoot!!
this is a shot from my basement with the zombie trying to squeeze through the cat door to get my brain..........
THANK YOU, ETHAN!!
YOU WERE THE BEST ZOMBIE EVER!!

Day 62: Stain by J.

This is my brothers stained arm. He is not a gamer. He wishes he was, and got a tattoo to prove it... but I will always say that he is not a gamer. It also gets him really pissed off when I say that, so I'm going to forward this to him and tell him that I put his tattoo picture up.

Also, here's a link to a song I made called Not A Gamer. It's me playing guitar and him defending his "gamer status". It's kind of hard to hear, but pretty funny.

Day 62: Stain by Missy

stain

i drink tea all day all night... and because i refill my mug so often, i rarely wash it... which is gross, but, heh!? it's who i am and how i do things... this is my tea stained white mug...

DAY 62: Stain by CC

DSC01810
I love wood stain. My favorite part of shop class was picking out the stain for our projects. We had over ten choices of wood stain colors. I usually picked stains that weren't too dark or too light. Our table has the "Oak" color stain.

Day 62: Stain, by Jasmine

This is gross. And I didn't even show you the huge stain on the top. Someone should clean the microwave.

Day 61: Unfortunate by J.

I'm waiting for a package to arrive. I am the most impatient person in the world... especially when it comes to waiting for mail. Unfortunately, it didn't come today. I'm also pretty sure it hasn't even shipped out yet.

Day 61: Unfortunate by CC

For me it is unfortunate that the only time I got to spend with my daughter today was when I was putting her to sleep. It was a very long day without her. I am looking forward to the weekend.

Day 61: Unfortunate by Missy

unfortunate

it's unfortunate that the warm weather seems to be gone
and i had to wear my jacket the entire day...
...even indoors.

Day 61: Unfortunate by Nick

Camden, NJ was once a manufacturing hub in the early twentieth century, when those jobs left the property values dropped and with it came economic depression for the city. In the past ten years it is regularly one of the top five most dangerous cities in America. It's a shame to drive around and see great architecture dilapidated and handsome row homes boarded up because it could be a sister city to Philadelphia. It is still the home of Cambell's Soup and the final resting place of Walt Whitman.

Day 61: Unfortunate, by Jasmine

It's unfortunate John bought all of these Criterion Collection DVDs when we already have five billion others to watch.

Day 60: Retro by J.

At last night's diorama exhibit, I saw this retro hot wheels van. It's also in front of a CD player radio, which will be retro/extinct soon enough.

EDIT: Just realized it's actually a tape radio and already extinct. Oops!

Day 60: Retro by H

I crush hard on old camera equipment. I mean, like really, really hard. If I had the means I would by every single body and lens and attachment and flash unit I could get my hands on until there was no room to move in my apartment and people started refereing to me as the 'crazy camera guy'.

Day 60: Retro by Nick

I've always felt Catblatch has had hair verging on James Dean, he's is truly classic and current all at once. In short, he is my destiny. By that I mean he is the man I watch 30 Rock with. What the hell am I talking about? I'm just thankful I don't have work tonight and have internet access.
