Day 96: Warmth by Missy

warmth

i'm always cold so i gravitate towards anything radiating warmth... it's not unusual for me to lay in front of heating vents to warm myself... it's also not unusual during the winters months to find me laying on the floor in a patch of sun coming in through the front door... & it's not unusual for me to wear thigh high knit socks under jeans and thigh high knit socks over my jeans at the same time...

I am super sick today. I have had a temperature all day so I have felt some warmth. J. stayed home so I could get the needed rest and more importantly some warm baths. This is the little hippo and the hot water knob that provided me with some comfort and warmth. (Of course, if I had my way it would have been a hot bath instead....but that doesn't bring a fever down)

Day 95: Stunning by Taylor

This is the belltower attached to the building my office is in, which is easily seen from the parking garage I park in when going to work. it has some pretty awesome and amazing views of the surrounding area. The sky can be pretty cool too.

the blue dot in the middle of it the tower makes me wonder if I can double up and come back for haunted.

Day 95: Stunning by Becca

I always forget how much I love the fall colors. Then one day it just hits me...the trees are stunning! Here is a picture I took on the way back from a midday bike ride, at a park not far from our house.

Growing up you always hear about how stunning diamonds are. When you actually have one of your own you realize what the big fuss is about. I could stare into a complex carbon masterpiece forever!!! This is my ring. The diamond was my great grandmother's. Sweetums was kind enough to hold it for the picture, but was impossible to capture how stunning a diamond is.

Day 94: Truck by Taylor

Truck pulling out of the gas station today, just after fueling up and dumping oil everywhere (see slick, day 97 for picture). It was a neat looking truck though, as far as they go.

Day 94: Truck by Missy

truck

when i think of trucks i usually think of dirty... big ol' muddy mud flaps, puffs of black diesel smoke and whatnot...
tonight i went out 'truckspotting' and found this street sweeper... as i got in there for a close up of its dirty parts, i noticed some sorta bloody meat-like substance junking the metal... not sure if it's possible, but i began to think that perhaps a small critter got swept up to death and shot out on to these parts...
(check it out close up... gross.)

If it wasn't for the truck carts at Wegmans, I would never get my shopping done.

Day 93: Closure by Taylor

Concord is the capitol of New Hampshire, and like a lot of the towns around it things keep closing up more and more. This was taken in the downtown.

Day 93: Closure by Becca

So Mike and I came back from our Honeymoon about 2 weeks ago. Upon return to the northeast I found out that one of the units in the hospital I work in was closed due to issues with the state budget.

Because of this, I was laid off since I was the least senior in the department, even though I didn't work on that unit...it really sucks overall! The state made some strange rules before they went through with it. My supervisor and director of my department are furious! (So am I!)

My last day was this past Thursday and packed all my stuff in my car. I am still having difficulty finding closure to this whole thing, it is all still sitting there!

A jewelry closure immediately came to mind! This is the closure I chose for my Pandora bracelet. I also want some people to know that there is now a Pandora Store at the Cherry Hill Mall!!!! (Um, I need clips)

closure

again, trying something out with my camera...
anyway...
a very cheap jewelry closure...

Day 92: Thankful by J.

I'm thankful for my Mom. She watches Elle while we work every weekday. She also watched her last night while Carolyn and I went out for the first time in almost 2 years. But not only does she watch Elle... she plays with her and teaches her new things everyday, which is awesome.

Thanks Mom!

Day 92: Thankful by Missy

thankful

more than anything, i'm forever thankful for love and hope...
but today, in light of what's been going on here, i'm real thankful for tea (tetley: makes it better), tylenol and motrin cocktails (bye-bye fevers), digital thermometers (as opposed to rectal), nyquil (for delightful sleeps), delsym (for 12 hours of suppressed coughs), my blackberry (for keeping me in touch), and new moon (for edward... (which i'm reading again in preparation for the 20th))...
i'm also thankful that i'll never get h1n1 again!!!

Day 92: Thankful by CC

It's a shame that we usually only use the word thankful at this time of year. I have so many things to be thankful for and so I chose a simple picture of the tree outside of my house. I am thankful for my house, my family, my friends, and everything I have.

Day 91: Haunted by J.

Elle would not let go of this haunted house picture last night. I even had to use it as bait and hold it above my head to get a picture of her in her Halloween costume. This was costume #2. During the day she was Tinkerbell and at night she was a spider.

91: Haunted by CC

DSC02223
There was a strange feeling at the Halloween Party/Show tonight that kept HAUNTING me. It was the absence of Missy!!! So for Missy I put up a picture I took of CATBLATCH as Bono.

Day 91: Haunted by Missy

haunted

these two jacks are protecting our house tonight from anything haunted that may want in...

Day 90: Torment by Missy

torment

got this yesterday before i was tormented with a fever of 103.6... couldn't post til now...
anyway, my idea was 'tormented souls'...
(i hope that's not insensitive...)
