Day 180: Rose by Missy

arose

(wow.)
'how did it happen that their lips came together? how does it happen that birds sing, that snow melts, that the rose unfolds, than the dawn whitens behind the stark shapes of the trees on the quivering summit of the hill? a kiss, and all was said.'

Day 179: Beer by Missy

beer

the only beer i drink is root beer...
the other day i heard the most fantastic tale from a friend of a friend who was accounting the moment he realized
what his favorite color was...
after a phillies game, as a child, this dude was treated to a root beer... as he held his drink, which was served in a frosted mug, up to the sunlight, glorious golds and bronzes shimmered abundantly through the glass... and at that moment the boy knew that his favorite color would forever be amber,
the color of the sun through root beer...
pretty amazing, right?
