Day 301: Mate by Missy

yesterday was the mayfair...
an event that every year i question why the eff we attend...
this was THE reason i attended this year...
to witness and capture this perfectly matched couple...
awesome.

Day 300: Third by Missy

today's theme is third... it's also the 300th day!!
um, wow, right?!
my photo doesn't have anything to do with the theme and i tried hard to make
some sorta connection with my photo, but i simply cannot... so i apologize.
today was too important not to post this photo...
my first niece arrived today!
dorothy eleanor, aka, dottie!!
she's super adorable...
and no lie!!
i think she sorta looks like me!!

Day 299: Chalk by Missy

went to the basement with an idea for chalk...
it didn't work out...
i'm experimenting with light...
i don't know what i was doing to have the light so blasted out,
but the results were cool...
other than some sharpening and black point level adjusting,
it's un-altered...

ha! playing with light is super fun!!
still working out the 2nd curtain sync, but i'm happy with how this turned out!!

Day 297: Air by Missy

my photography class met tonight at the art museum for a night shoot...
all i wanted to do all night was this!
write words in the air with light!!
we spelled out fleisher, the name of the school (we'll call it) where the class is being offered...
the first 'e' being backwards makes it SO much better!!!!!!!
(and no! that wasn't me!)

i am starting a month long cleanse today...
i take four of these every evening!!
there are all kinds of natural things in there, one of which is clay!

i have to admit...
i always found it disturbing, and downright unnecessary, when my father would refer to 'plugs' and 'sockets' as 'male' and 'female' parts when fixing something... the word 'penetration' could have be thrown around at any time, and as a teen, this was just weird and wrong...

the word nebula comes from the latin word, nebulae,
which means cloud...
this is a cloud of baby powder and glitter...
it looks like a few different photos i've already taken...

may 16th, 2k10, marks the date of the aids walk in nyc...
it was really something to see!
for hours, thousands of people walked down 85th
and through central park... again! amazing!!
i was really quite taken with this lovely lady who
was handing out free samples of personal lubricant...
passed by her later in the day, and she smelled so good!
seriously!!
