Day 215: Micro by Missy

micro1

ok... this photo means nothing without my write up...
my favorite album of all time is bjork's, vespertine... can't be without it. i have all the dvd's to go with the record... the making of, the videos, everything... while creating this masterpiece she needed 'micro sounds and beats'... she wanted the sound of pussy willows bursting open, the sound of a butterfly emerging from her cocoon... and she got them!! with headphones you can hear all these delicate sounds and rhythms tinkling and crackling...
they are so important to the feel of this record...
it is perfect.
SO!
while strolling in my garden this afternoon, looking for signs of spring, i was inspired by bjork... i closed my eyes and tried to imagine the smallest things and their unheard voices... perhaps this is what the hydrangea buds sound like during the big thaw, the big warm up...
