I never got braces because it was too much money. I still haven't gotten my wisdom teeth removed because things were busy. That's been my excuse for 3 years now. What a mess.

Many years ago my father gave me a real human skull. It has been dissected to be used for medical purposes. It is really old and over the years the teeth have started to fall out and chip. Just the thought of these real teeth around the house sometimes grosses me out. I liked this shot because you can see the teeth beyond the gums.

The others aren't kidding- when four of us are in the same place on the same day, subjects for "teeth" grow limited. Luckily I have a variety of dragons and their teeth hanging around. I like that this guy has an overbite fang and an underbite fang going on.

It's interesting how when you think you are all set to go with your original plan, you sometimes have to abandon it at the last second. Then to suddenly find yourself with a new plan almost as quickly as you abandoned the one just before it and be more happy with it.

and a revelation to share - shooting in macro inside of a sweatshirt with poor lighting sucks, and your eyes cross a lot.

We were at a fundraiser today for our dear friend Thad's family (Thad lost his battle with cancer this past June). This guy and his teeth were out front :) Happy birthday Thad, we love you and we miss you!

Okay so everyone photographed their cat yesterday, and the only reason I didn't was because I needed him today. Here's Elroy rising to the challenge and looking creepy as all hell in the process. I am entering him as a new challenger in the pirate cat wars.
