Day 38: Birthday by Nikki


Blue Monster wants everyone to have a happy birthday. Or he'll eat you.

    Have you read the Sandra Boynton book called "Birthday Monsters?" Cuz, you really should.

    Here is a sampling from my head:
    You're not awake, it's six o'clock.
    You hear a ring, you hear knock knock.
    You hear the door come crashing down.
    The birthday monsters are in town!

    They rush you down before you're ready
    And use your breakfast as confetti.
    "Oh look!" they shout "It's 6:08!"
    "Your present opening can't wait!"

    ...

    "And now," they say "It's hide and seek."
    "You go and hide and we won't peak!"
    You find a hiding place that's great.
    You wait ... and wait ... and wait.
    You realize 20 minutes later,
    They're raiding the refridgerator!

    There's more ... but I won't get into it! ;-)
