Day 10: Old by Taylor

I like to play games of all sorts, and have always enjoyed going to flea markets or garage sales/yard sales to find older games. Sometimes you find some awesome crazy games like Hoopla from the 50's, and other times you find crap games like this one.

Here's how the Muppet Show game works: every player has 2 character pieces and a set piece that they have to move from their start position to their end position. to move, you spin a double spinner and then look up what you spin in the "script", which tells you exactly how and what to move. and thats it. But man, its crazy, just like it was in the 70s! The best part about the game is the art, as there are a couple of fun classic shots (like the box itself) as well as 70s muppet cartoon drawings. It's probably ok if you don't play this game, unless your this guy, then it might be required.

I didn't think I'd post anything Muppet, at least this early in the game, but this was a backup to my original shot. unfortunately I couldn't find my original copy of this for the photo, so it wasn't as fun.

  1. I have that game too. Love the artwork, but never played it. Now I never have to.

For one of our upcoming game days I'm busting out my video games made into board games collection. I have Frogger, Xaxxon, Donkey Kong and a few others. Other weird licenses made into board games that I own: Goonies, Saved By the Bell, and Robotman.

  2. Wouldn't Cookie Monster just eat all the pieces and then be angry that they weren't cookies?
